Model Shoot
Shooting with Dean Kelly, Jerry and Marilyn Kelly's youngest boy, means shooting beautiful young ladies in various modes of attire and moods of expression.
Deano, as I call him, called me over to the Kelly House on Cherry Lane and told me to bring my camera.  While Jerry remained upstairs watching TV, I popped the lens off of my camera and went to WORK!
As you can percieve in the following ---
It's amazing to watch D at work in a model shoot.  He is a dynamo of energy spreading confidence upon the choice model for the day and her entourage.  The young girl was introduced as Jena and immediately D instructed her to descend the stairs of his Pass Christian beach cottage to the waiting sailboat moored at the bayou.
Before I had arrived, Jena had already gone through one wardrobe change from a startling red dress to a light blue sateen dressy garment.
Assuring his camera lens with a willing model candidate is gainfully attained as D began the Shoot with the model fully clothed.  It is during those first frames of clicking the camera that D is able to take inventory of the model's strengths and weaknesses.  Alert in observing facial features for centers of beauty in addition to flaws that he may have to work around --- It is then, when his magic comes into play as he clicks away on his camera instructing the model to "turn," "turn more,"  "No!, The other way," "Smile,"  "I said smile!"  "Don't Talk!" "Smile,"  "More Smile,"  "Quit talking."
For the next wardrobe change, D said, alright, get yourself a drink or relax with some deep breaths, then go change to something simple.
Jena's wardrobe helper was her friend, Natalie, who helped herself to a drink as well as the two companions went to the bedroom for a costume change.
Jena came out in cutoff short jeans and a feathery collared light blouse.  D marked off with the toe of his leather slipper a square on the deck and told her to stay in that spot since his next shoot would be with his camera mounted tripod.  The same dialogue was repeated with: “smile, don't talk, turn.”  He then moved in to do close-ups as he verbalized, "hand up,"  "higher,"  "chin up,"  "smile,"  "Show me some cleavage,"  "I said, Cleavage,"
Jena exclaimed, I don't do that!   D snapped back, "you don't have on a bra?"
She said, "No."
Undeterred, D said, "Show me a little cleavage,"  "That's it,"  "Smile,"  "Quit talking!"
Jena and Natalie went to the bedroom for the final change to a bikini bottom and a tight, loosely buttoned white blouse showing that she was braless once more.
It was easy to tell that Jena's confidence had developed with increased regard and a positive attitude to please the eye of the camera as well as the cameraman.  She was constantly bolstered by her friend, Natalie, who responded quickly to adjust Jena's attire.  Pulling down the tight blouse as it rode up from her waist, adjusting and readjusting her bandana, touching up her hair, and a minion of girly things.
During all such adjustments, D would patiently wait or sometimes assist in the primping when necessary.
Jena's last take was aboard the sailboat as she maneuvered to keep her balance and her smile in place.  She was no longer hesitant to display a little bare flesh as she perceived the professional session as one that would produce a beautiful product that would bear her name.
When the Shoot was over, D coaxed Jena to the camera pane to review the frames.  She ooohed, and aaahed, and giggled with exhilarated pleasure.
It was then that Jena showed her gratitude with a playful hug and peck for the cameraman.  The big D.  His generous smile spread and his eyes twinkled, as he winked in satisfaction for a Shoot, well done!

As described by this observer in watching the Shoot.
